Well, talk about being lazy!!! Our days are consisting of waking up late, possible swim in the pool, head down for breakfast (usually yummy big fruit juice and omlete), then head to the loungers on the beach where we read books for a few hours. Lunch at our usual restuarant at the beach with a corona or two then a stroll back to our casa for a swim in the pool and more reading, then later venture out for a cocktail or two, watch the surfers surf and sun go down and then have dinner. Back to the casa for another swim as it is about 500 degrees here and then perhaps lazing on hammock listening to the waves crash on the beach..then off to bed again!
I have had to sleep under a wet sorong the last few nights though as it is just so hot.
This morning we actually broke the routine and woke up early and went out on a boat to see the turtles and the dolphins. Saw turtles mating and a few hundred dolphins swam around out boat - was beautiful (ie the dolphins, not so much the turtles mating!) The tour guide was a Mexican version of Muzz (from work)
Anyway better dash time for a late lunch and beer!
Had a great time in Puerto Escondido - a really laid back, rustic little town full of locals and surfers as it is known worldwide for its surfing. The sea was mostly too rough to swim in but there was a gorgeous beach close by we found to chill out on and swim at. The beach we stayed at consisted of one main road which was parallel to the beach with restuarants and bars all the way along. The beach also had restuarants and bars all the way along. The locals were very friendly and got to practice my spanish a bit. Slowing learning some new words.
It is low season at the moment so it was pretty quiet. We stayed at the most divine casa where we mostly had it to ourselves - briefly had an unfriendly amercian couple next door, and then a really lovely couple from East Berlin who are travelling the world for a year. We ended up having a few drinks with them one night and they taught us the German version of Rumy! (not sure if that is how you spell it?)
After 9 days of relaxing we flew out to Mexico City where Kim carried on to LA and I headed to Cancun...on my own now....!
