Kim's Travels
*AM* Oh my God. I love Melbourne. I've only been here a few hours and just popped back to the hostel to pick up my phone and I had to come on and tell you how great it is. I woke up this morning and went to the Queen Victoria Market which was amazing; absolutely huge and full of EVERYTHING! We brought Kangaroo steak for dinner after recommendation...!! There are cafes with terraces everywhere and its a beautifully sunny day. There is such a great atmosphere. I sat on the veranda eating fresh melon from the market for brekkie - FAB!
*PM* After the market, we wandered around the city, taking a stroll to Federation Square where there was a celebration for Buddha Day and we watched loads of little dance acts on an outside stage which was pretty cool. There were also little food stalls were we picked up a few spring rolls (it was like being back in Hong Kong... MINUS THE FOOD POISONING!) We chilled out by the river then went back to our uber lush hostel where we aphrehensivley cooked our kangaroo and guess what... It was delicious! Just like beef! We hung in the bar, read our books and strolled up the wooden hill to Bedfodshire...
