After a not-so-bad coach journey and a seriously hellish boat trip we finally arrived in Koh Tao. It is really beautiful here; everyone stays in mini bungalow type buildings right on the beach. There is one main road with quite a few little ones coming off it. There are lots of western restaurants (phew) and a lot of clothes shops. We are staying in the Crysta Dive Resort (as Tom is doing a diving course) and we get our own mini bungalow which is nice - no hot water or toilet flush though! Well, to be honest I didn't do much today apart from reading my book and sleeping. After Tom had finished his first lesson we ventured into down (Mae Heed) for dinner. I still cant stomach thai food unfortunatly but Tom had a very nice Mussaman curry (or whatever its called). Afterwards we wandered around town and stumbled across a really nice bar/restaurant (Whitening) which we've already decided we'll spend our last night! We drank fruit shakes on the beach and reminisced about our trip and how surreal it is that its coming to an end! So, I havn't seen much of the island but tomorrow I plan on exploring a little more!
