Kim's Travels
Unfortunately my body's getting rather sick of rice and noodles and I woke up this morning with an awful stomach ache! Lasts nights meal has given me food poisoning. However I drugged myself up on paracetamol and banana (the only thing I can eat at the moment!) and didnt let in get in the way! We met Dad's wonderful friend Nobihuko (plus his wife, daughter and sister in law) today and he took us to the most amazing restaurant called sweet dynasty on Canton Road. The food was out of this world! It look weird but tasted wonderful! Especially the desserts (I had cold sago with mango and polemo) as this restaurant is apparently famous for them. Then they took us to a Wong Tai Sin Temple where there were lots of people on their knees shaking a box of sticks with numbers of them. Nobby explained to us you have to shake the box and made just ONE stick fall out (quite hard!), then note the number and take it too a fortune teller on the other side of the temple. I was REALLY aprehensive about this as I'm unsure about fortune telling etc... but I went ahead nevertheless, asking about drama and she told me a story about a lady who really wanted to be a teacher but everyone was putting her off, telling her of the downsides especially pay. The teacher became confused and anxious not knowing what to do but eventually decided on perservering with her dreams and she got success in the end although the pay was still low. She said this year had not been a good one for me but it will get better if I persevere and "follow my dreams" ... take of it what you will!!!
