Hey everyone!
Well just arrived in Johannesburg late this afternoon. To be honest we have done alot of chilling over the last week as it is too dangerous to go out at night everywhere. Starting back to last Monday we went out to Bloukran's Bridge for Ryan to do the highest "commercial" (NB. Caroline & Catherine) in the world at 216m! Ridiculous scary just to watch. You will all I'm sure get to see the DVD when we get home. We then spent time walking around Plattensburg Bay lagoon and on then made are way to Jeffrey's Bay that night. Jeffrey's Bay is famous for the Surfing Pro Competitions it holds every winter. Ryan had a surf lesson on Tuesday morning (Already ticked on my list in Byron Bay in Australia)-apparently he stood for "I think about 4 seconds". We spent the day chilling on the beach and then headed to Port Elizabeth that night. To be honest did do much in Port Elizabeth-not much to do! On Thursday we drove about 6 hours to Cinsa which is completely remote with unspoilt beaches. Spent the day on the beach and the next morning I had a lovely facial- I used the excuse that my skin was taking a battering with all the weather changes! haha! Then we had a horrible long 10 hour drive to Durban later that day. On Saturday, in Durban we went around there big water park/shopping mall beside our hostel-pretty westernised but security everywhere! We went on out own personal Zulu tour that afternoon getting to see around some of the traditional houses and their different ways of life along with a traditional dance. As you can see from photos there was also some crocodiles and snakes (much to Ryan's delight-not mine!) at the Zulu park. Sunday and Monday we spent in the Drakensburg Mountains and did a few walks around the area which was also pretty remote.
So not that much interesting to read about for the last week-but just you wait till the next blog in 2 weeks following the main highlight of our whole trip-the safari through Kruger and Chobe National Park, Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta! Also camping for 2 weeks in the bush-should be fun fun! So until then....
