Hey peeps!!!! Wow... cant believe we have come to the end of our NZ adventure!!! 3 wks has just flown by and done sooo much. Well first off we took the the flight over the cook staraight and Marlbourgh sounds (which we were recommneded to do as the sea was soo rough - and mum u know me and my sick sickness!!) Which was well scary!!! I have never seen ickle sis looking soo petrified!!! But we arrived safe and sound in a cute liitle town called Picton, where we were greeted in our cutsie hostel by homemade apple pie and hookie pokey icecream (soph how nice is that ice cream!!)... as you can imagin that has now become one of our fav hostels!!! Next stop was Kaikoura where we went whale and seal watching and saw 8 sperm whales which was pretty amaizing stuff, follwed by fish and chips on the beach. Oh.. and whilst we were in the marlbough region the ward siters could not resit another wne tour to sample lols fav vino... sauvingon blanc... yum!!! We then headed on down withour magic bus to Franz Josef Glacier, however we did not pick the best day to do a glacier hike (COLD DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO DESCRIBE HOW WE FELT!!!) it absolutly poured down, we were soaked (see the piccies) and when it come to the 3 hr hike in the ice we both nearly cried when we couldnt feel our toes (lol was convineced her toes were going to fall of with frostbite bless her!!!) But all that moanng aside the glacier was stunning (with little ice waterfalls, caves and streams... like something out of a childrens fairy tale (which i loved, u would have too lol being girlie like me! Then Queenstown, a wkd ski/snowbaording resort with a real chilled and funky atmosphere and lots of bars!!! We made good friends with two irish girls who we decided to travel with and we all became party animals for our 3 pms in queenstown joining in with the apres ski (Drinking shots from tea pots... interesting i know!!!) We also ate the most sexiest pizza in the world.. seriously lush!!! From queenstown us girlies all decided to go on a road trip together so we hired a car and drove to the spetacular Milford Sounds, which is the best scenery we have ever seen. It was such a fun day and lol was v brave driving through a tunnel in an Avalanche risk area!! We were really sad to leave Queenstown but off we went on our merry way to Dunedin where we just spent most of the time recovering. One pm just north of Dunedin we stayed in a little town famous for its colony of blue penguins (serioulsy sooo cute!!!), where we were able to view them coming onto the beach at dusk.. was soo sweet!!(however to our horror a seal was also on the beach, one of their main predators and we thought we were gonna witness some kind of mass murder, however luckily the seal just slept.. phew!!!! Had our last magic bus trip yesterday with a cool bus driver to Christchurch (such an english town with st names like Oxford terrace and gloucester st!!) and went punting with some vino!!! ( i cant belive i have never done it in oxford and do it in NZ!!) Had a final night out last pm with the peeps from our bus, where i was alos persuaded to represented England and reached the semi finals in an international rocks/papers/scissors championships in our hostel bar from our bu... random!! b4 our 6am flight to sydney tommorow am!!! But we are very excited about OZ (and the warm weather) but will be v sad to leave NZ. Hope everyone is well and we both miss everyone so so much and love hearing from you.
