Weird, clocks went forward an hour here but also back an hour for you guys so took us all most of the day to figure out the time difference between here and home. Despite us drumming it into the lads heads that the clocks have gone forward, there was still a no show for the beach at midday, typical eh! Sound like an Aussie already, they all say "eh" after their sentences eh ;) So those of us that were up or woke up ;) headed to the beach where the rip from the previous day had calmed down a bit and we were allowed in the sea this time. Within about 5 mins of us being in the H2O, one of us had already got stung by a lil blue b*****d, supposed to be quite lethal! I offered to pee on it, but wasn`t in the best of places ;) While the lads played football I admired (them and ;)) the surfers who were surfing in the rip, Bondi is crazy like that! They were even committing the worst crimes, drop ins so was looking to see a few fights! Whilst Pete lay recovering from being stung, me, Mikey D and Shaun (we`re still calling him Shannon as it sounded like from his incredibly strong Irish accent) went boogie boarding (too dangerous for surfing). We had a fantastic time trying to fight the rip and getting even more bruised and battered than I was already. Mikey D even got thrown up into the air and then spat out onto the shore and he`s a big lad , Shaun even had a good time even though he can`t swim, by boarding down the beach at incredible fast speeds aiming for anyone who didn`t look like a pom, what is he like that one, it`s a shocker!? That is one of my new words, picked up from Ewan who says it every single minute of the day! We then watched the most amazing sunset over the famous surfing beach whilst sipping ice cold beers to cool us down from one of Sydney`s hotter days in thw wicked bar there. Bit of a posers place though so you can imagine there were sooooo many fit men, the fittest men I have ever seen actually, hence why I love Bondi ha! Went to the amazing toilets, see album and watched helicopters circle the water which we later found out was looking for sharks!!! Did wonder why they circle all the beaches here all day long, didn`t realise they were that up on their safety here. Lifeguards and everything too, much better than back home but then there aren`t any scary bad ass deadly creatures, at least these NSW beaches only have sharks to worry about, lil did we know what was to come as you travel up the east coast. Funny how within minutes of the sun going down all the surfers fled, feeding time :) So got back to the hostel after a chilled day and then went out for leaving drinks of the Deepstar and Mikey D
