Spent the daytime in the pool and watching Sydney FC beat Wellington with a dodgy penalty (there goes the ref in me…AGAIN). The evening would be spent round at Steve's mate Chappel's house, who I had met a couple of times the previous week.Me, Steve and his friends Susan and Gray spent the majority of the evening sat on the patio floor chatting and drinking (Susan's random extreme stretching was off putting yet strangely erotic.) Having been to many house party's before I knew the dangers of staying up until the bitter end and then not getting anywhere at least half decent to sleep, I wasn't going to make that error again, and so with nothing to stay up for I decided to retire relatively early and sure enough found a comfy sofa upstairs. Oh and I had had a txt message from Peter back home saying his team Leicester City were beating my team Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at half time, which depressed me enough to want to go to bed.
For some mad reason me and Steve had agreed the previous night to head down to the beach with the surfers at 8am. Upon waking my theory was proved right when Steve, who had stayed up until the end of the night, was sleeping on the floor (no further questions your honour). Me and Steve were feeling rough to say the least but a good session in the sea bodysurfing soon sorted that out. Two of my famous rants kept Steve amused. Firstly random screams of "Aaarrrggghhh we're in the bottom three" referring to Wednesday's horrific season, and somehow we got on to the subject of an ex of mine and her two annoying fat friends who I couldn't stand. There were also periodic shouts of "Boards!" when body surfing after I nearly got cracked in the face with a rogue surfboard which had become detached from its rider. Back in Epping Jo came round for dinner in the evening which was nice (in a Fast Show style).
