It's September 13...a Tuesday...a month from today I take off on a plane. Yes I am still obessing about all things Egyptian and dreaming of what this trip will be. I am in the fourth and final book of a great series of novels about ancient Egypt (actually, it's a bit of a science fiction historical novel)--a man from current time travels back to 5000 years ago and becomes Imhotep. I am learning so much about ancient Egypt by reading these books, especially about who the big players were. When I see their temples, they will be more meaningful to me. Very cool.

Biggest new purchase for my trip? Mosquito repellant because..the Nile! and a new suitcase that fits carry on regulations for domestic flights. I'll have to check it on Egypt Air, but shouldn't have to for my flight to and from New York.
