It was too early in the morning when Thomas and I met at Snowdon metro to join the 'friendly outdoor group' Randonee Aventure for our first hike in Canada. Three hours later and considerably more awake, we reached Parc de la Mauricie. We chose the most ambitious hike, since 17k did not seem very much.

The hike started out as a nice amble through the woods, but became more ambitious soon. Boulders littered the trail.
