Backpack with Kerry & Nat
We are now in Fiji and have just experienced the real Feejee experience on a four day tour!!!! On the first day we went to some markets and a beautiful beach where Kerry played volleyball with the locals and was shocking!!! Then we went to a small Fijian village and played with the children. Later that day we went sand boarding which was wicked but Kerry had to climb back up the hill to help me get down as I was sooooo scared and got stuck up there!!! That night we had a BBQ on the beach round a camp fire and played silly drinking games.
The next day we did a three hour trek which involed wading through the creek and climbing over hills Lovely!!! We then went tubing down the river (in and rubber ring) through two small rapids which was great fun and then swam in a waterfall and jumped off of rock platforms into the river!!! Even I managed it!! .....it was scary though!!!!!!
The next day we visited a school and then went to a traditional cava ceremony in the local village. We met the chief who gave us Cava it was disgusting but you have to drink and smile out of respect!! we had this ceremony to be blessed into the village so we could then go bamboo rafting on the river without any danager!!!! That night we went over to an Island which only has one resort, we sat in hammocks on the beach and watched the sunset before playins more silly drinking games.
The following day we chilled on the beach and then went sea canoing which was great fun it was quite wavy so our arm muscles hurt a bit. When we got back to the main land we went for a traditional curry and then on to some volcanic hot pool and mud baths. The hot pools were VERY hot, I loved the mud baths as you will be able to see by the photo's but Kerry hated them and got staight back out!!!
We are now chilling round the pool for two days before starting our seven day sailing tour round the Islands!!!!!!
