Our second day in Dubai wasnt much of a better start. We had a trip booked for 9 in the morning
but both decided to ignore our alarm and woke up 10 minutes before the trip was about to start.
We made it down to the lobby just in time to find a big posh 4x4 and a chauffour waiting for us.
The trip started by driving to the Dubai harbour to see some rich Arabs yotch's floating around
infront of the city but not much else, we then moved on to the Dubai museum which by our experience it shouldnt be
a museum because iv wore underwear longer than some of that stuff has been around ha, After the museum
we was taken to the other side of the harbour where by no chioce of a our we was told we are
getting on a water taxi back to the other side of the habour and we will be picked back up there,
it was a experience to be on the river going by the city but doesnt fill you with confidence when
the boat your on looks older than the one in the museum ha. We then went to a art museum and is
all i can say is that idea was short lived and we swiftly moved on to the famous 7* hotel, we
pulled up at the beach along side it because poor people arnt aloud to close but we spent around
10 minutes there getting pictures, adirmiring the view and in kerris's case dipping one foot in
sea so she can say she went in the sea in Dubai haha. The 4x4 by this point had its air con on
full blast so we drove all nice and cold to the Palm Island where we got to see the Atlantis hotel
which looked amazing, the hotel itself is huge with a massive arch way in the middle of it which
looks good but personally i dont see the point in they could easily fill the arch way with rooms
more money to be made ha. After this we set off to the Dubai mall where we had been the day
before, we spent a lot of the first day looking round it but still managed to see differene parts
on the trip the place is just stupidly huge, then as we walked outside the mall the burj kalifa is
right infront on you (worlds tallest building). we had seen it the night before but it was good to
see it during the day standing there like a majestic rich man with pride, this was our last stop on
the tour and we went back to the hotel, the tour was 4 hours long but a serious tourist's crash
course to Dubai we litteraly flew round not bad though for the equivelent of £20 each, bargin
if i ever seen one. By the time we got back it was like 1 oclock so we decided to sort our stuff
out before our flight the following day, i say we i had a cheeky sleep while kerris sorted some stuff
out ha. Once we got ready and both had our make up and ball gowns on we got a taxi to a amazing bar
at the top of the marriot hotel called the observatory bar which overlooks palm island and part of the
harbour, we had a couple of drinks in there and sat watching the sun set and figured it would be rude
not to treat ourselfs to a bottle of champagne, when in rome and all that. The both of us sank a
few drinks each and hardly eaten all day so we left the observatory bar got in a taxi and headed
to souk al bahar for some food, after much discussion and careful planning we found a nice
resturaunt called the orchestra where we sat on a balcony overlooking the burj kalifa and the
dancing water fountain, its worth mentioning the seafood platter i ordered, it deserved a blog of
its own it was amazing, marinated fish, batterd squid, lobster the lot it was awesome oh and kerris
had steak. we ate our meal while watching the world of Dubai go past and i think we both have fell
in love with the place its like nothing we've ever seen before. Knowing we had to be up at 7 in the
morning for our next flight being the sensible people we are we made the executive desision be
responsile and go for a drink ha. we didnt stay out to long just a few sneaky ones then went back
to the hotel to pack the rest of our things and get a bit of sleep.............. to be continued
in China!
