Today we was up and out by 7 to get breakfast before we had to go to the airport. this time we didnt have
the luxary of the lexus just a standard coach not impressed ha. we got dropped off at some sort of
secret check in area where there was no one else about just a few people so that was easy, then we had a
million miles to walk for security check before getting on a train to our terminal (they have a private subway
inthe aiport). we spent most of our time in duty free because there was that many different shops.
once we arrived in China we was stuffed on another train like sardines to get from the terminal
to baggage collection just my luck kerris's bag came first and mine came last (not happy). we was
met by a little old man who spoke no word of english and had probably the worst car in the whole
parking lot it was awesome. after 40 minutes on the motor way watchig hectic driving and horns beeping
we turned off into a little town. It had just tunred midnight so all the lights were off and
to our joy the driver tunred down a street that we can only describe as somethingyou would
see on comic relief!!! dark, dirty, dingy and smelt like rotting boddies, old little shops and
houses and no sign of a hotel, by this point we was both dreading what was about to come, then
out of the darkness there was a half decent hotel down this backstreet and i dont think we have
ever been so relieved in all our lives. once we got out of the car and into the hotel lobby there
was no one about and not a single light on, then the moodist chinese man in the country appeard
clearly not happy about our arrival, once we checked in we got found the room still bright eyed and
bushy tailed with body clocks still on Dubai time. We both wanted to go out do something or
see something but none ofus felt safe enough walking through the chinese streets of compton at
1 in the moring ha so we had a little skype with the parents and got our heads down before we met
the tour group the next day.
