We arrived in Hong Kong in the midst of a heavy fog. We were very close to the wharf at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal before we could see anything at all.
Our tour took us across to Hong Kong Island where the first stop was at Stanley Market. It was fairly quiet due to the early hour. We made a couple of purchases and headed off to the next stop which was a Sampan Ride on the harbour.
The Sampan took us to the Jumbo floating restaurant where we had an early Dim Sum lunch.
Next it was up to Victoria Peak by bus. Unfortunately, the peak was still shrouded in fog and we could see nothing of the usual fantastic view. There was a long queue for the tram due to the number of cruise ship passengers but we eventually boarded the tram for the ride down, facing backwards up the steep hill.
The bus was waiting for us at the bottom and took us to the Kowloon Pier where we boarded a vessel for a harbour cruise.
Later, back at the ship, we enjoyed the views of Hong Kong by night. Many buildings have moving light displays which are quite impressive.
