The day started with breakfast provided by our hosts in the dining room. Villa Renos breakfasts are famous on Trip-advisor and we weren't disappointed. Petros brought out several courses, many of which contained produce from his own farm and everything was delicious.
We then took a walk down below the hotel and found the upper donkey station and some other new paths. Later we took the cable car down to the Old Port and were surprised at how pleasant it was down there close to the water. We stayed for quite a while, bought some souvenirs at several shops and also had an enjoyable lunch by the waterside where we could watch the cruise ship tenders coming and going.
After catching the cable car back up, we caught one of the local buses from Fira to Oia at the far end of the island. We had a very pleasant afternoon there. Oia seems to be a little more upmarket and has more blue domed buildings as well as the famous windmills. After taking heaps of photos and buying souvenirs, we enjoyed a couple of milk shakes before catching the bus back home. We had an early dinner and made it home just in time for the sunset.
