So Finally got on the golf course with Simon a colleague from Dubai. Haven't played in a while so was pleased to play ok and not go in any water. We drove up to Ras Al Khaimah one of the lesser known Emirates. Really nice location with beach marina a Banyon Tree beach villa complex not to mention the fab golf course which is half the price of Dubai courses. Not surprisingly it was crawling with Germans who have found somewhere new to invade....great day home to b...

Nothing I can do about it, I have the Burj Khalifa stuck in my head! (see pic) Now back in Dubai after a week break in the UK to see my loved ones (some of whom didn't turn up; you know who you are....) and now back in the City of a Thousand Towers....Burj means Tower in Arabic it's also what a drunken Irishman says when he sees a group of pretty girls. Therein lies the anomaly a Burj won't let you down and there are hundreds of them here. Travel starts again ...

So finally a day off.....I set off to the metro at 10:00 am to do some sightseeing only to find it closed until 13:30 as it is Friday. Bummer. So went back to apt and set up my home office (see pic) and did my expenses.Then tried to do some washing......it turns out the machine dries as well so they came out a bit wrinkly! (see pic) it will be a nightmare to iron now I know what you girls have to put up with.....But they all clean. Headed off at 1:30 for the B...

Well made it safely up the mad highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Getting settled in to the apt. Unpacked, bought groceries, cooked, going to iron a shirt. Right little house wife I'm becoming! First day in the office tomorrow...,getting the Metro.

So I have been here over a week now the time has flown but it still seems like I have been here for at least a month. Guess coz I got around a bit between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Oman! I am in back in Abu Dhabi today; been to the golf and followed Tiger Rory and co around for a few hours. I will head back up to Dubai tomorrow to collect a better car and move in to the apartment in JLT. Sunday I will start work in the Jebel Ali office. Posted some pics h...
