Hi everyone. We are off to Sri Lanka on the 25th January for a few weeks, which should be wonderful. We'll post updates of our travels as & when we can - subject to WiFi availability. Firstly to Singapore (well, the Airport anyway) and then to Colombo. The background picture is a view of Kandy.

We left Galle at about 11.00 am on the 15th and caught the express air-con bus to Colombo - 500 rupees per seat. A nice new-ish highway between Galle and here so that helped. The bus did not …

Dad Thank you. The camera was/is a Nikon Coolpix P520 - a 'bridge' camera (18.1 megapixels).

Desley Thank you all. I will celebrate today with the following:- a. Air-con (set at 18 degrees), b. Cable TV (first in 3 weeks), c. We have quite a few rupees left so the food budget is moving up-market, washed down with Lion or 3 Coins Lager. See you all soon.
