Well sorry for it being so long between posts, there just was not much to talk about! Class has been going well. Actually, on Wednesday class was cancelled. Of course, I did not know that until I walked all the way to Park and saw the note on the door. But that is completely my fault because I didn't check my email. Kels had walked with me to get some stuff done in the library that day. We then decided to go say hi to our directors for BCA. We thought it would just take 10 minutes or so. 2 hours later we were done talking and decided to walk back. Then the week went by as normal. Friday night we didn't do much because we had to get up early Saturday for our BCA trip. The bus was to pick up pittville people at 7:45 so I figured waking up at 7 would give me plenty of time. It probably would have but when it went off, I totally forgot that I had something to do that day and I thought to myself "Why in the world am I getting up this early?" So I shut off the alarm and went back to bed. Something made me look at my phone 20 minutes later and then it hit me that I had roughly 25 minutes to shower and get ready to go. Amazingly, I did just that, but not without feeling rushed the entire time. We took a coach to Stonehenge and the ride was about 2 hours so I got a good nap in. In all honesty, I think I had the most fun doing stupid poses with everyone while we were there. I think it's fascinating that they moved the stones there, but there's only so much you can do there. We then got back on the bus and headed to Salisbury. It's a really pretty city with a huge cathedral! Emmit was filming and I actually made sense when talking about the arches. haha, I'm not sure if it was right, but it sounded legit! We also got cupcakes at this place called Cupcake Heaven. And it really was! We were able to walk around for a few hours so it was a good time.
We got back on the coach and went to Portsmouth where we were staying for the night. Before we went to the hotel we stopped by the shore. I was able to get some pretty cute pictures so it made me happy! It was pretty cold but worth it! We had the rest of the night to ourselves. We walked around the outlet store, but everything is still so expensive. Because we were starving we found a place to eat. I had steak and it was delicious. Whenever we go out I try to eat some sort of meat because I certainly do not get enough protein making my own food. A few of us went out later that night and just hung out. And then even more of us hung out in someone's hotel room for awhile. It was actually a really fun time with everyone! I love these people!
This morning (which feeling like forever ago) we had breakfast in the hotel and then went to see this ship named the Victory that was used in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. We couldn't take pictures inside, so that was a little sad, but it was actually pretty interesting! We also saw something about the ship Mary Rose that sank and parts have been brought to the surface. They don't know what sunk it so it's a pretty big mystery!
Once again we had time to do whatever we wanted. A few of us went to get food and others went shopping and up this huge tower that has a great view. It was a bit too costly for me, but I kinda wish I would have done it. Anyways, we got back on the coach a bit before three and then headed back to good ol' Cheltenham. Once again, I napped on the way back so I'll be up for hours I'm sure. It's been pretty cold here lately so I really really want it to get warmer!
