From the very first moment I got into Ireland I was beyond excited. It was an early morning starting at 3:45 when I woke up. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not usually even asleep at that time. Well, us Pittville folks walked to Regency to meet up with Erika and Fish. From there we walked to the Promenade for our bus ride at 5:15...it was 3 hours long. Then we jumped on the underground right away. Kels was puzzled by the ticket process, but eventually got it. That was simple. Then we had a somewhat difficult time finding the Easy Bus station after getting off the underground. Not so easy is it? We missed our bus but luckily we are allowed to get on a bus up to an hour after our scheduled time without having to buy a new ticket! That bus took us right to the airport. Erika and Fish had some trouble getting their tickets to scan but that was taken car of quickly. The real trouble started when Louise decided to say terrorist. She was taken away in handcuffs. Just kidding, but she did encounter some trouble. Being the genius that she is, she left her belt on going through security. The thing beeped so she started to get patted down. And I mean, really really patted down. Her bag was also taken to get her liquids tested. Oh poor Louise, but we get a pretty good kick out of it. That's what she gets for saying terrorist. The flight was quick but my ear did have some trouble with it and was still messed up for awhile.
On the plus side, out bus tickets were there waiting for us thanks to Sandy! That lady works wonders!! We then had to wait for the bus for roughly an hour but it gave us time to chill and get situated. We then jumped on the bus to Ennis and were completely confused as to where to get off. There are no announcements or anything on these buses. I guess they assume everyone knows where they are going. Leave it to the Americans to be confused. Luckily this nice man told us where we needed to get off. We had to take two taxis to get to out B&B because it was off a ways into the country. Umm, can you say gorgeous?!!? I think it is absolutely amazing here. The girls are all sharing a room and Fish gets his own. All for the price we were promised! There is a lake right behind the house and it looks like a picture from a postcard. They also have horses and an adorable dog named Buddy. I just can't get over it all!! We're going to have a full Irish breakfast tomorrow! This consists of eggs, baco, sausage, toast, tea, scones, fruit, and juice. The lady that owns this place told us to go for a walk around the lake and she also offered to order us pizza later. Going for a walk now!
Just got back from our walk! It was a pretty long one, but beautiful so totally worth it. We walked to this old abbey across the lake and that was amazing. We got there just as the sun was setting. This place is gorgeous. I can't say that enough! As we got back, the man that owns this was just bringing back sheep and their little lambs! They are so darn cute! I know I keep using exclaimation marks but that's how excited I am. We ordered pizza to avoid having to take a taxi into town and back again. It would be 10 euros each way, a bit too pricey for my liking. The pizza was great though, but if I stay up too late, I'll be starving. However, it's not even 8 and I'm dead tired. Waking up early should be pretty easy then. We'll hang out for a bit before going to bed probably! Day one was amazing! Goodnight!
