Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Have been backwards and forwards between Brisbane and Northern Queensland, and there was supposed to be two train rides in there but alas I could not catch the tilt train to Bundy. South of Bundy they've been having some cool temps, one day at the Brisbane office could even be considered a brisk day in NZ, I wasn't quite reaching for the thermals.
In amongst all the traveling and living out of a suitcase I managed to squeeze in a over indulgent boozey night out in The Valley in Brissy. The head more than paid for it the next day, but it was lots if fun..... Despite not finding out how the roof at Zuri Bar works, and a Random telling me that the reason I won't talk to him is because of his shoes (wasn't true to begin with but when I checked them out, dude's shoes were taped together!).
Was lucky for the wake up text at 9.30 as I hadn't set my alarm! Oops ah well managed to get sorted and out of the hotel and into a taxi headed to the train station in time.
The train ride was however an experience that I hope to never repeat in a hungover state. I also started to wonder about the train I was on when 4 guys got in and one was covered in blood all down the front of his shirt, and had what looked like a busted nose. As the trip progressed he explained to nearly the whole train that he'd picked a fight with a big Island dude and had gotten the crap beaten out of him "bloody FOB had a rock for a head, I f@$kin broken my hand trying to smack him". Real classy Saturday morning transport :)
Anyway after my eventful trip on the Train to Marsden I met up with Delle, Rach, Emmz and the rest of the kids. Was great to hang out with them for the weekend and just chill, although we did fit in a trip to Infinity which is a very cool indoor light maze. Crazy concept but it's awesome.
