Hey all!

Finally found somewhere to get all the pics uploaded. We've been in Singapore for 4 days now and really love it. The place is gorgeous and so clean and new. Only downside is it's crazily expensive so our traveller budgets are struggling here!

When we arrived we was still with our tour so we stayed in quite a nice hotel that was really central. We went out for a nice meal together as a group and then for the infamous Singapore Sling - absolutely delicious! We didn't want to leave Raffles Hotel but in the end resigned ourselves to the fact that one night in the hotel and we could wave goodbye to Oz!

So next morning we left the tour and were now on our own! Emilia had found a hostel that was just outside the city so we headed over there and were pleasantly surprised. It was like home from home, comfy furniture, little kitchen and two of the fluffiest cats to keep us company!

We dropped our bags off and then went over to Sentosa island with Jeremie (basically Sentosa is a small island of the coast of Singapore that is a holiday resort - think Disney without Minnie and Mickey!). As everything was pretty expensive we decided to spend our money on a cable car ride over to the island which was awesome and then spent the afternoon lazing on the beach - perfect!

Next day we went for a walk around the Botanical Gardens and had a picnic and then walked through the shopping centre, unfortunately our budgets wouldn't stretch to Louis Vuiton and Armani so we treat ourselves to a Starbucks and called it quits!

That evening we moved to our next much cheaper hostel :( It's not great... We're sharing with 8 others in a mixed dorm, but it's doable for a few days and is saving us loads so is fine really. (Only thing is we're sharing with a crazy girl who keeps talking to herself and at us and an old Irish woman who seems to think she rules the place... lol! All adds to our experience!)

Yesterday we went to the beach and then out for drinks at our hostels pub (which our hostel owner paid for :) ) and then today we went to the local sports club which is amazing and went to the gym and for a swim!

Leaving tomorrow for Darwin, Oz so next update will be from Down Under!
