Yesterday we travelled from Cairns to the Daintree via Palm Cove and we had lunch at the Marina in Port Douglas. We crossed the Daintree River on the barge with caravan in tow and came across a very steep winding section which gave the Zuki a good work out! We were told about a beautiful spot to camp called Lync-Haven Resort which turned out to be paradise for only $28 per night. They also have a crocodile, snakes, lizards, Kangaroos and parrots there, so we had a great time watching the Croc get fed and took part in a hands on feeding of the Kangaroos which Lochie loved! We are spending the day looking around the Daintree National Park today, plan to travel the 4wd coastal Bloomfield Track to Cooktown tomorrow, then back down the Bloomfield Track to return to our camp.
We have very little phone signal here, mostly none at all. We are well and enjoying this beautiful part of the country!
