Hi, it's Kellie. Today is my 35th birthday. Wow I feel so old. I was woken by the sweet kisses, cuddles & singing of my gorgeous boys wishing me happy birthday. My gorgeous hubby wrote me a beautiful letter for my birthday which had me laughing & crying at the same time. Just what I wanted!! Tim then made me a delicious caramelatte as the phone calls, messages & Facebook birthday wishes rolled in from my beautiful family & friends.
We had decided that today we would move to a freedom camp up near Batemans bay today & settle in for a few days relaxation to sit out the crazy weather hitting Qld & NSW which was heading our way. Tim had arranged to take us out for a birthday morning tea at the gorgeous historic Seahorse Inn next door at Boydtown. Unfortunately when we got there the cleaner advised that we shouldn't have been told that we could come for coffee as only herself & the kitchen staff were on. She offered to make us a flat white but ..... That just didn't have the same romance to it as we were hoping. So we headed into Eden and had a lovely brunch at Wharfside cafe on the wharf followed by a walk on the wharf.
It was a beautiful drive today through the bends & hills, I'm sure that Tim was imagining he was doing it on the bike although only at 85km/hr at most.
So we have set up camp at the beautiful North Head Primitive campground. So called because the facilities are basic, with no power & only cold showers but the campground is packed with campers. It's so nice here with the bay on one side and the surf on another. The smell of campfires in the air is awesome. We haven't had a fire since we lit one in Kakadu to keep the mozzies at bay.
Lochie has had a blast playing with other kids, riding his bike & playing in the mud puddles, he's such a boy.
All in all a lovely relaxing birthday with my boys.
