On friday 13th December I jumped on the bus to Copacabana. It was just 20B from the Cemetery Bus Station and took about 3 hours. When I arrived in Puno, I surprised myself how fast I was at making a decision. I booked myself on a 2 hour boat trip to the floating islands and booked my bus to Cusco for that evening too. The trip to the islands was really impressive - everything was made out of the straw that grew in the lake. They used the straw and the roots/mud to build the land, their houses...everything! The guide said it takes about a year to build an island for about 5 families b...
