Day13 - Franz Josef
Before leaving Lake Mahinapua I took a stroll down the lake and then headed off to our next destination.

Spent two days at Franz Josef, the first night a few of us got together and did our washing as it was cheaper that way.
The second day I went and did the heli-tour over Franz Josef Glacier. We got kitted up in coast, boots and all sorts. Took a helicopter over and landed right on the Glacier then had a 3 hour walk around the glacier, walked through narrow pieces of Glacier and then I find a hole which I slide through however one girl got stuck and had to pull her back up via her feet, was very funny.

When we got back we had a free pass into the hot pools so we all ended up in the pools they were just what was needed at 40C, very warm indeed.
