So the next part of teh journey took even longer when it shoudl have been shorter after 10 hours on the boat we made it to teh Laos border of Huay Xai, however coz we got there late we coulndt cross the border.

later found out that the laos do this so that they can make more money from tourist ,so slow down the boats to arrive after the border has closed.
Which is frustrating but cant do anything about it.

so we found a bungalow and stayed the night there, didnt really see much of teh town as it was dark when we got there and we left early the next day to get over the border.
Seemed like a bit of a sleeper town, not much going on.
