we left Cambodia on a 13.5 hour bus journey to Laos border.

The journey wasnt too bad, stopped a few times, changed bus and the border visa went smoothly so all good.

Once we got to Laos we exchanged some moeny and brought boat tickets over to Don Det island aka 4000 islands.

It was quite dark by teh time we got over to the island, not the best when looking for a place to sleep.

but eventually found something which was horrible, but found somewhere the next day that was much nicer.

we stayed only 4 nights on this island, it was so stunning but so hot.

We hired bicycles one day and went to the other island, found a waterfall and saw river dolphins.

However by the time i got back i had really bad tan lines, looked like i have two wings on my back....:D

Another day was spent at a big waterfall, we found a placed to swim which was nice as again south Laos was stupidly hot...sorry i know its snowing back home...:P

Met some really nice Ozzie guys and gal and dutch guy.

But left them and got a bus ticket to our next town.
