Got a bus over to Wuhan after the three gorges trip. Took quite a while to get there. was Dark by the time we arrived.
Once we got off found a hotel to find diretcions to the hostel as we had none only the name. We eventaully found the hostel, had to take two cabs, and ended up losing the boys at the end destination, but eventually found them.
The hostel was nice situated off the main road. We got put into the same dorm. We headed out and looked for some food. Once outside you could really feel the cold, the temperature had been starting to fall ever since we have been heading south. Hopefully will warm up more south.
We stayed in Wuhan a couple of days walked around a found a food market place with small stalls selling all sorts of food. I had some potatos cooked in chilli. Also some dumplings as well.
there was a guy also making mini sculptures of real people, out of clay. I would have gotten one, but would have been totally squashed in my rucksack.
The weather wasnt the best whilst we were here but keep walking around.
Wuhan is the capital of the Hubei province and is situated in the heart of China.
We tried to go up to the ;Yellow crane Tower' however had to pay around 120 yuan (£12) per person which seemed quite steep. so gave it a miss.
'The tower is today 52 metres high with five stores and the architecture of the existing tower is from the Qing Dynasty and it was completed first in 1985. Placed on the top of Snake Hill you have a 360 degree view from the top of the tower over Wuhan and a magnificent view northwards over the great Yangtse (Chanjiang) River.'
We booked our tickets to Shanghai again taking the sleeper train.
