Hello guys! Its time for another 'informative' update of our tasmanian adventures... We have just got back from the Overland track in the Cradle mountain-lake st Clair National Park where Danny made me hike for 5 days...hehe. Its started with a mammoth bus journey into the Tassie wilderness on a wndy scary road through the mountains. When we got to the start of the track..it started raining (dammit).. so we had to put on our sexy squeaky waterproof trousers on and got on with it. The first couple of days were pretty heavy going, but it was absolutely stunning up there in the mountains, and so quiet and peaceful...it was so weird not being able to hear cars and people. We saw lots of animals in the rainforest as well, which i loved...we were in our tent one night and heard some tasmanian devils outside having some sort of tasmanian devil fight- which was so kool, they actually sound EXACTLY the same as Taz the cartoon...hehehe. We also saw the deadly Tiger snake sunning itself on the path but luckily the stench of Five days walking scared it off. Awww and we had the cutest possum come into our tent!! It was naughty though and tried to steal our food.. On the final day I was pretty knackered/grumpy/minging (Danny was still loving it :-) but it was all downhill...phew..and then we got the most koolest boat trip across the lake to the finish. We had to radio across to get the boat and the guy said all the boats were full up but it was our lucky day as he was picking up a group and he had two spaces left if we could make it there in 15 minutes...you have never seen me move so fast (if we hadnt of got the boat we would have had to walk another 8 hours or something!!). Anyway we are back in hospital today- still pretty quiet, they have signed our forms...so technically we dont have to go in anymore hehe... Hope everyone is good, miss you all xxx
