Left Beachcomber this morning and am now at Kuata. Everything here is so simple - so different from Beachcomber. I am in a 15 bed dorm which is much less cramped thank goodness! The dorm is a hut with woven wooden walls and a straw roow and windows that are wooden shutters held open by sticks! The shower is basically a hosepipe attatched to the tin roof and the toilet and shower doors are locked by turning a bent nail which is in the door frame! There is no electricity apart from for 3 hours in the evening and only in the bar and the only water is rain water collected in water butts! There are mossie nets - Hooray and they make the beds look lioke princess beds! :)
I just happened to be on Kuata on "Fiji Night" - this meant another Kava ceremony and amazing food cooked in an underground oven - only we had to be traditional and not use aknife + fork and they hadn't exactly served finger food!!!!! Everything was gretty gooey or covered in sauce! The traditional entertainment was 5 men wearing only grass skirts and doing some VERY camp dancing!
