Today we took the ferry to Fremantle. I can only describe this place as a ghost town.
We hopped off the ferry and headed to Fremantle prison, where we took a tour with one of the guides. The tour was brilliant and seeing as the prison had only been in use as recently as 20 years ago it really had an erry feel to it. We visited the cells and yards and learned all about the daily life of a prisoner and lots of history. We visited the room where they hung prisoners, it was really strange and scary so much so that a girl fainted.
We then walked around Fremantle town and headed to the harbour for fish and chips and an ice cream. (Bang goes the diet!) We headed back via the train and to the hotel. We are visiting Kings park tomorrow.
