I just read your last entry and despite the fact that you told us all about your last week's "vacation" in Ghana, seeing it in print and seeing the pictures made it all come to life somehow.
All I can say now is "please pack me in your suitcase so I can come on the next adventure"
Love you lots.

I'll probably see you beforeyou get this, but as today is the 'day' Happy Birthday'!
As a special committee to welcome you home Robin wanted us to all dress up as mosquitos, but he is going to germany tomorrow and I've lost my wings (!), so I'll just send the gnats round!
lots of love Jacqui et al

Well I guess this will be my last messge to you in Ghana as we are going to see you in THREE DAYS! and we can't wait. so glad that you are feeling better, you were very brave. Everyone know how hard it is to be sick without mum's chicken soup to make you feel better, but please be sure that you thank your "local mums" for their kindness (though somehow I don't think yam soup has the same magic power as chicken soup).
Travels sound fantastic and I am looking forward to hearing all the detail, seeing the pictures and of course being able to give you hugs.
We love you.

Malaria!? Sounds like a t-shirt in the making. Slap all the mosquitos before you get on the plane.
Enjoy your last days there. What an experience you've had.

Hi Katie,
I haven't posted much on your board but I've been keeping up with your weekly blogs and feel I've gained an awful lot of knowledge myself through all your experiences out there! Thank you for all the news and sharing the ups and downs of Ghanahan life. The true depths of what you've learnt out there and how it will affect your own life and future will be incredibly important to you.
Have a fab last week and then it's off to Tunis (Africa in the blood methinks!)
love Barbara

Hi Katie ,
I have so enjoyed your blogs . Wonderful to think that you will be able to read them all over again and keep them . I wish I had been able to have the sence to write down all my experiences over the years . I really will get down to recording them . I will use one tape for each country and record at random as I will not be able to remember the sequence of the tales .
I send all my love to you for your remaining time in Ghana Gran .

Katie...
Thanks so much for contiuing to include us in your adventure!
So, after reading Rachels note...One sister is skiing and one is looking at monkeys roaming around a village...how cool!
Tomorrow is the last day at my job, I am going to help start a brand new company with my boss...should be interesting...I am sure it will keep me out of trouble, if nothing else. There are many new things to learn with a new business start up.
I am sure it will be really hard for you to say good bye, but I am sure you are ready to see family and friends as well as get back to the comforts of our kind of life!
Lots of Love...and be safe!

Hi Katie, we are all missing you so much on thid holiday. There is no one to get the girls to tidy up after themselves, no one for Robin to push off a chair lift or argue with! The chalet is great, food fantastic but it is snowing far too much, not quite enough sun for our liking. Seems I have to go and get ready to go out on the slopes. We have already been discussing next year when you'll be with us lots of love jacqui x

Hi kiddo. I loved your last blog, it is so full of colour and gives a real feel for the place. I have already begun to prepare for your return and the fridge will be full of vegetables and I have already reserved a table at the local sushi restaurant (though you may want to avoid the rice). I am concerned that you might miss some of the things that you have become accustomed to so I may surprise the Eggars with some chickens for their garden (it should be fun to watch the cats chase after them at least) and I have told Alex not to worry about finishing your bathroom (no it still isn't done!) as you don't really need running water.
We are in the mountains now and the skiing is fantastic, though there is a distinctive lack of sunshine - I didn't order white outs everyday and I keep looking longingly at the terraces in the hopes of some sunshine for my apres ski vin chaud. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. The knee is holding up pretty well and dad is sort of enjoying my dragging him up everyday. Rachel is having fun with the others, and even managed to go out on the town (well sort of) with the others in Chamonix last night, with plans of another evening out on Friday.
We cannot wait to see you. I know it feels like it has gone quickly, but I am counting the days until you get back. Have fun on your travels with Jenny - and take lots of pictures.
lots and lots and lots of love - m

Katie love , I can't believe that your time there is nearly over . I am sure the time has gonr fast for you and you sound to have really enjoyed it . Will ou ever go back do you think ?
I don't suppose that you will miss the lack of running water . I gater that you are going to Tunis to stay in The Residence , that will be real luxury .
Jen and I are driving halfway to meet Simon and family on saturday to give the girls their Easter Baskets . A bit laten but they were all sick when we were due to go to see them at home .
We think that they will move up here when the girls finish school . They don't seem to be able to make it on their own .
It will be good to have them near .
I am so enjoying your stories , it brings back memories for me .
I love you very much , enjoy your remaining time there .
