hi everyone,

for those who have used this site before - you will know that they provide you with a selection of places for a photo you can use - and for california it's very limited.... i used this one last time i wrote - but this time it's appropriate!!!!

For ai went to Santa Monica Peir the other night - and i saw this sign. I even have the photo of myself under it to prove it!

Wednesday was spent doing a full day tour of LA and it included the hills and all of the lovely big homes - even spotted some paparatzi, but no one famous. Venice Beach and the open air basketball courts and Muscle Beach - it was only 10.30am so too early for many of the freaks it's famous for.

Hollywood walk of fame and the Kodak and chinese theatres. Hollywood high where they filmed Grease, Bel Air and Beverly Hills - Rodeo Drive. This area is VERY nice, but again noone famous. The rest of Hollywood/LA is a bit of a dump. LOADS of bums and freaks - especially riding the public transport as everyine who can afford it has a car.

Wed night i caught the bus to Santa Monica Peir and had dinner at the mexican resturant at the end of the pier and put my feet in the water - the beach was big - but i wouldn't want to swim there - Aussie beachers are MUCH nicer. I saw the sunset and then caught the bus back. Then was rounded up by the folk at the hostel to go to a club up the road - it was nice but just fyull of people from the hostel. Met up with some nice Aussie chicks so it was fun.

Thursday was a big walking day - Along the hollywood walk of fame again, souvineer shopping, and then walking all the way up the sunset strip. Saw places like the comedy club, the Viper Room - of course - The Whisky a Go Go, Mels Diner, and the Roxy. (today i aslo went back along there and had lunch in Mels diner and saw the houses that the guys from Guns N Roses and Motley Crue used to stay in - which is JUST of Sunset next to the Whisky). it's a big walk so by the time i finished - it was back to the hostel for a rest. I met a nice girl, who is in my room, she is from Melbourne, and she is over here on a green card - trying to do the acting thing - we have been having great conversations over the last few nights and will try to go out for a while tonight.

Yesterday i went to universal studios - it was great fun - but bigger and with more stuff than what was there when i was 7yrs old. again a whole day was spent there.

today i caught the but to warner bros. studio to find out the tours don't run on the weekend - i was disapointed but it gives me something to come back for i guess.....

So it's rest time - i ahev to pack my bag, and check out - as i have a 7am shuttle to the airport, to NY.

it's nice to get out and see the world but it does make you appreciate what we have in Australia!
