I've arrived in Kansas and I don't see why Dorothy was so eager to return. It was a long long drive with out much scenery except for all of Vernon's relatives splattered on my windshield. I was originally going to stay the night in Salina, KS but it must be so small I didn't even know I passed it. So I pushed on to Hays, KS. The good thing about that is that my drive tomorrow will only be 5 1/2 hours tomorrow when I arrive in the springs to visit my little Ronnie Rose, runny nose. So excited to see her.
Last night I stayed in St. Louis with my friend Elena and her family. After spending half an hour arguing with my gps that I was not in a good place in east St. Louis I finally found her place. She took me out to the Casino Queen, or as she calls it "the boat". I was kinda disappointed it really wasn't a "boat" but a building built over the Mississippi. But I had fun learning how to play roulette, lost my $5.00 pretty quickly but it was fun. Next she took me to a beer joint iTap. Wow. Double wow. I had a flight of local brews and one sinfully deliteful Belgium. After our imbibing we had the munches and where better to fix that problem then visiting the Italian neighborhood, The Hill. In the hill I ordered cheese pizza but not just your normal run of the mill pizza but one made with provel, I think it's a Midwest thing. When I asked Elena what provel was she described it as a mix of mozzarella, provolone and cheese wiz. Umm really? But that description was spot on. It was good, interesting and very unique. And to make sure I got the whole St. Louie experience a midnight stop to the local Walmart. What a good mother and wife Elena is to get diapers go her daughter and a new loofa for the hubby.

Mom Sorry so many of Vernon's relatives had to die for your enjoyment and entertainment through Kansas. I am sure you will have the opportunity to be entertained a bit more tomorrow. Give lots of love to our baby girl tomorrow. You can share the love with Brooke, Kevin and Nick to. Hugs and kisses all around. Love you bunches. Travel safe.
Jamie So happy you are spreading your wings as a great American adventuress. :) Walmart stops: Americana wrapped in an egg roll -- a must do!!
