Sorry for the radio silence, it's been a hectic few days! The altitude has hit everyone quite hard, the only way i can describe it is that it feels like your brain has exploded. All fine now though, so we spotted condors in the colca valley, went to Arequipa, had 2 home stays which were fun but seriously challenged our Spanish small talk skills, as well as introducing us to triple carb - pasta, potato and rice in one dish (id quite like triple carb to catch on like double denim). We also visited the floating islands on lake titicaca and we're now on our way to cusco, the gateway for the inca trail...

Anna Like your brain has exploded? Ugghhh - that sounds absolutely horrible. Hope you're feeling much better! Other than that (and the triple carb thing) all sounds very exotic and exciting! What are you guys doing on Christmas Day?? xx
