So , we've arrived safely!! After 24 hours of travelling, a stoppy immigration person in Miami and Duncan getting all fidgety on on the plane we landed in Lima. After getting off the plane we waited for what seemed like forever for our bags which I'd convinced myself were never to be seen again (I have serious trust issues with checking bags all the way through!) then off on a super speed taxi ride to our hostel, so so glad for a comfy bed. This morning we've just had a mooch round and we're about to go for a walk along the oceantop path with a random quiche picnic we bought in the supermarket - You cant beat a nose around a foreign supermarket. We're starting to regret not learning any spanish though, there's been a lot of pointing and miming, and we've set ourselves the lofty target of 2 words a day, although I've already forgotten todays, it's not going too well. Will write the next post soon when we've done some more stuff and met the people on our tour, please let them be normal!!
