So we've just had our first set of visitors, and as of this afternoon I have finally finished all the washing! First Jane came over for work and stayed for a couple of days....just long enough to remind me how much I miss everyone at home. Then Nicky and Bec arrived for a real holiday - Bec's first visit to Singapore!

As you can imagine, Bec wanted to spend nearly every daylight (and some night) moment in the pool, and managed to get some real swimming time in over the 10 days. We did all the sightseeing things - the zoo, chinatown, bugis markets, night food markets, sentosa island and Bec had her first pedicure and manicure!

We even managed to get over to Bintan Island (part of Indonesia) for a couple of days too. It's only a short ferry ride over, and is beautiful. We swam (what a surprise) ate and had massages, whilst Rick and Bec went quad biking along the beach and in the jungle. Then we drove across the island to the largest town, where we really got to see how the people of Indonesia live - an eye-opener for Bec indeed.

It was great to spend time with both Bec and Nicky, and it was sad to see them go - it reminds you of what you miss at home. But they had a great holiday and Bec has an array of things for show and tell next week! We've just found out that Annie and Richard are going to come over in a few weeks, so it's nice to know we have more visitors on the horizon.

We are getting a new car this week - making Rick a very happy man - he's missed the freedom I think. We're also prepraring for his next lot of work trips - Thailand and China, which he tells me will be all hard work....so I'm going to China for a few days when he's there just to find out what he's getting up to!
