Spring is offically here! We have only got one week left to go at the Cardrona Hotel as the winter season has come to an end and we don't know whether to be happy or sad about it? I think we will really miss Wanaka and the people we have met and definately Daniel but we are excited about getting back on the road and not having to work!

Last Wednesday, the hotel was really quiet. Quiet as in we had no customers and no house guests so we shut up at 6pm and went into town for a last minute staff party. We didn't pay for any drinks as Peter used the tips that had been accumulating in the jar over the season so you can imagine how messy it all became! Serving on the bar the next day wasn't nice! The week before we had a few drinks at Benbrae which is a complex next to the hotel. Jamie and Lee-Anne who run Benbrae come into the hotel a lot so we have gotten to know them. It wasn't as messy as the staff do...and we got to stay over in one of the appartments which was really swish!! Tonight i think we are having more leaving drinks so we'll see how this one pans out!

Our plans when we leave Wanaka next week are just to head north, back on to the North Island as we haven't seen the East Coast yet...as usual, we'll just see where we end up! enjoy the new pics!
