Kasey Rae's Adventure Down Under 2006
Wow, it's been a very long time. I have a lot to update on, but for right now I'll tell you about what I just did this week. I flew into Darwin today after a week in Cape Tribulation and out on the Great Barrier Reef off of Cairns. The GBR is everything I could have hoped for and more. I had the time of my life. I did twelve dives total between the two trips and saw things I've wanted to see since I was little: white tip reef sharks, cuttlefish, tons of jellyfish, clownfish, sea turtles, triggerfish, moorish idols, butterfly fish, angelfish, wrasse, puffers, and a whole lot more. I can't wait to post my pictures-I got them put on CDs as well as full prints.
I'm about to start a tour down the center of Australia to see the outback. So within two weeks I'm seeing the Rainforest, the Reef, and the Desert. Could I ask for anything more?
I'm curious how I'm going to do though in the desert. We'll see how a girl raised on an island and a peninsula survives the Outback. Da Daa Daaaaa! (Sound effect, haha). I'll keep you posted once I make it to Adelaide to tell you how it went.
Peace out
