Happy 40th birthday babes. We were awake early and sat on the balcony having a nice coffee whilst Mark opened his cards. We had decided to get the shuttle bus provided free by the resort to go into Lamai today to have a look around as it was quiet where we were staying .. The driver dropped us off in the centre and it was a busy little town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We headed for the beach to have a look and found a nice little beach bar Mark started on the Singhas at 11 it was his birthday ha ha ... Whilst we were sat at the table lots of beach sellers selling all sorts of things. approached us and when you politely say no thank-you they walk away. We bought a hanging wooden mobile for the tub and both got a bracelet, mine was an ankle bracelet with elephants on and Mark got one for his wrist . I also got a purple beach dress as I realised I needed another one. A lady came over to see if I wanted a manicure or a pedicure I wasn't bothered but she persuaded mark to have both .. It was hilarious and he even had clear varnish on !!! His nails have never looked so clean, he was pulling some faces but his nails have never looked so clean !!!
We moved up the beach a bit and had some lunch at the bamboo bar and I had some cocktails..
We got a taxi back to the resort which cost about 6 pound the taxi driver was very chatty !!! We decided to go to the pool for s swim as we were very hot ..mark fell asleep ( too many Singhas)
We had our meal to look forward too at night on the beach when we went back to the room they had already got the sala up and the table ready in blue and white linen it looked amazing we were excited. The meal was booked for seven we got ready and was rang at 7.15 to ask us to come down to the table it was literally next to the room on the beach. There were candles all around the Sala and on the table with an ice bucket with our wine in, it looked beautiful and Mark was very happy. Mark started with king prawn cocktail which was huge and I had a caprese salad again this was lovely and both dishes looked amazing. Our main course looked amazing too and tasted even better. Mark had his long awaited BBQ lobster which was huge and I had steak and it came with huge tiger prawns mashed potatoes and veg with peppercorn sauce. The prawns were huge and still had there eyes in !!! Mark ate these as I don't like them. We had chocolate mousse for dessert and again this looked and tasted amazing. The meal and setting was amazing and an experience never to forget. We finished the night in our garden pool and another amazing day was had.
