So sorry if I have confused you with the dates and locations but the locations are done from where I am updating the blogs from, will have the dates of that day on it, if makes sense :)
Tuesday 15th - We went to Palace of Versailles which is a massive palace which is bigger then the Louve, each and every room is different all old fashion from the ceiling to the walls have paints on them in each and every room there is something to learn and you discover many difference things, you seen how they lived and it is so amazing to see these things to this day! It reminded me of Westminster Abbey how there was so much history and how antique everything is/ was. I must say living there is that massive place must of got lonely!!! ( will try and upload photos soon its just hard to do photos as I go!) the weather was a bit of over casted so while it wasn't raining me and boys went to a little cafe and got some lunch and then went back to the bus and meet up with everyone again :) Most of the guys on the trip are from WA, few people from New Zealand and so on. It hard to write about the people cause it will better to explain in person, try to remember everyone name is so hard, we have named some people by there country and then a few have been given nicknames cause it's to hard to remember everyone names. So have after been at the Palace of Versailles we head back to Paris city centre and had 2 hours free time before we had to go back on bus so we all just walked around and had a look at the shops near the louve and then laid on the grass until we had to go back to the bus, once on the bus had a sleep all the way back to the hotel across the back seat that apparently Roxy was getting up to give us some information about what the plans were for the night that she saw a sleep and was like "we have a little possum asleep (everyone turned around) someone wake her up quietly." next thing you know Georgia is yelling wake up and everyone last excepted for me!!! I'll will get her back in time!! We got of the bus got changed as quickly as possible and then it was off to dinner all dressed up with dresses and heels and the boys had there button up shirts and smart shoes on. Dinner was ok we could have got better for what we pay for but it was filling so not complaining. After dinner it was show time! The show was good the boys enjoy seeing boobies lol and the girls enjoy is the male dancers! During the show we had a girl be sick on herself it was gross thought I would shared that with you :) haha. After the show we all went to a bar called O'Sullivan (Sallys) it's where all the contiki groups go when in Paris as well as the locals. It was packed, the night was massive shots and drinks lots of dancing, this was the first night everyone had been out together and Roxy our Tour Manager also come along and did shots with us..
Wednesday 16th-
Well as you can imagine everyone was tired today and didn't help that we had to get on the bus and got to the Beaujolais Wine Regional where Contiki have a Chateau! As it was a long massive drive, we went through Lyon to get there! Made some stops along the was.
Once we arrived at the Chateau we had a wine tasting on the JC the wine maker who still works at the Chateau!
The views from the Chateau were amazing of the country side. The food at the Chateau was amazingly good better then what we were having in Paris! At the chateau the have a Cellar underneath the place and they have turned it into there own underground Club which was a theme party, our them was Letter P so I went as a prison person. So this makes to massive nights in a row, oh so JC the wine maker uses the skins on the grapes to make a spirit which is 70% in alcohol and they were selling them as shots and it was one of those things that you had to try man oh man never have that again I can't remember the name of it but I know the are slowly trying to banned the wine makers from making!
Thursday 17th -
So this day was a recovery relax day as at the Chateau there is not much to do, some people went for a Picnic lunch and a hour long walk to a hill were apparently the views were nice! But my group decided that we didn't want to walk so we laid by the pool looking out into the country side sun baking, just before the rain began. For the rest of the day we did nothing other then dinner and socialising as we all knew that we had a big trip the next day to get to Barcelona :)
Friday 18th -
So we had a massive bus trip to Barcelona with stops every 2 - 3 hours cause of Lazzol's driving hours rules! We also stop at Pont Du Gard which is the largest water bridges in France (know as a Aqua Duck) it the picture on the 5 eruo note! We arrived in Barcelona about 7:30 at EL Prat. It's about a 20 - 30 trip to the city centre. The Hostel was surprisingly good, simple but big room and bathroom in the room, washing clothes Equipment. As we arrive lastish we had nothing planed the night so I did some washing and then everyone had been done the the corner shop and brought drinks and we just sat around as a group on the lawn and chilled and bed kinda early as we most if knew the next was going to be busy... But that didn't stop 10 or more from going out in Barcelona and having a good time.. I stayed in and got rest :)
Saturday 19th -
Well we got up and went into Barcelona got a small city guide and the we had a small walking tour of the Gothic area near La Rambla! After that we had the rest of the day for free time Georgia, Jodi, Laura and I just stayed walking up and down La Rambla, having lunch and doing shopping, I got 2 new tops, cardigan and of course a new hand bag :)
After we had done shopping I went back to the hotel with Matt, Nathan and Phil as they wanted to get change before the had to meet up with the bus and go to the flamenco show... I stayed at the hotel with 12 others so didn't pick the flamenco show as a options I didn't as had seen it before and from dancing days also! So to relax freshen up and get ready to go out with everyone in Barcelona!! We meet up with the group who had gone to the show along port olympica we all went and had dinner some of us went to this one restaurant, and cause one of the girls was nit happy looking the brought out shots on the house for us!!! We felt special haha. After dinner most of everyone not the contiki group went out for a big night and some went home, for those who went out, we went to a bar called Olympica! Being on contiki means we get special priced drinks and also we learnt that the Spanish free pour, which means 1 drink is not standard it can be 2 or 3 so we had to watch what we drank, there was a lot of dancing we didn't get home till 4:30 which was the latest night yet not biggest Haha there is a difference trust me!
So as you can imagine a lot of people have neither lost their voice (me), got a cold/ the Contiki cough! Haha
