Happiness Is The Road
We are about halfway round Tasmania now and will be heading north again soon. Before that we decided to go for a drive south of Hobart. On the way out of the city we went to Mount Nelson to get a good view of the whole city. We had thought of going up to the top of Mount Wellington which is twice the height but it was covered in cloud today. Also it was a longer drive up a very winding road. The view from Mount Nelson was good enough for us. From here we drove on a loop to Huonville, Cygnet and then around the coast to Snug. On the way we took a little detour to a wonderfully sounding place, Eggs & Bacon Bay. We just couldn't resist. It was a beautiful little bay, very scenic and serene. We had lunch here. After this we motored onto Snug. This is another wonderfully sounding place. We found the caravan park and it looked busy. Luckily we got the very last powered site. It was a lovely quiet caravan park and we settled in nicely for the rest of the day. It was cloudy today and the temperature had chilled down. We went to bed early all cosy and very snug in Snug!
