Happiness Is The Road
We had another peaceful night and decided to stay on this lovely camp site one more night. The amenities were unisex with a row of toilet cubicles down one side and a row of showers down the other. Jay came back from showering unusually for her without incident and then I tottered off to the amenities, towel slung over my shoulders and without a care in the world. I tried the first shower door but it was locked so I tried the next one along. The door swung open and I was faced with an **** in the air! The German lady seemed startled but the silly cow hadn't locked the door! She moaned and I told her that she should have locked the door whilst very promptly shutting the door. It was like removing a bike wheel from a bike rack! I eventually showered and returned to Jay with my horror story. After brekky we drove a few kilometres down the road to the Cullen Point lookout where we had a walk and took in the view of Havelock and the Pelorus Sound. It was all water and hills. After this we had some lunch at a rest area with a lovely water view. We then drove back to the camp site and armed with another bag of food pellets we went to see the gorgeous and friendly animals. First up was Molly the pig who was fast asleep. She was snorting away and obviously deep in piggy dream world. We tip toed away without waking her and went to see Billy goat. He was frantic to get near us and in particular Jay and her tasty cardigan. He had to make do though with just the food pellets. He was being very cheeky. We then went to see the cute sheep who enjoyed a cuddle and being fed. They are really funny characters. Feeling energetic and with the weather being good we decided to walk to the waterfall again so through gates and over stiles we went. We enjoyed the walk even more today and were soon at the falls watching the water cascade down and enjoying the sun that was once again dappling the vegetation with a warm glow. Once back at the camp site Jay fought her way past Billy without being eaten and we found Molly was now awake. She enjoyed what was left of the pellets and snorted away in satisfaction. We just chilled out for the rest of the day. Luckily I didn't see that **** again although I'd recognise it anywhere as it is now indelibly printed in my minds eye!
