This morning started off as a quick drive out to Level Post Bay lookout at Lake Eyre. It was an amazing sight as we drove towards it and saw that Lake Eyre South had a small amount of water in it. Once we reached the lookout, we had a quick read of the signs and headed up towards Lake Eyre. It was beautiful even if we couldn't see any water. It was to windy to stick around to long so we took a few photos and headed back to the car to head back to the trailer.
About lunch time we headed into Marree to have some lunch at the pub, which I will add was amazing! Best chicken snitzel I've had in ages. We then hung around town for a little bit before we got on our flight to go over Lake Harry and Lake Eyre. It was spectacular!! It was so great to be able to see the water that is in Lake Eyre. Even though there wasn't alot that we saw in there I can still say that I have flew over Lake Eyre and saw water in it. I would never do it again though, little planes are so stuffy and horribly warm! Out of the hour and a half flight I felt sick for an hour and ten mins. I will never ever go in a small plane again! We headed back to camp and had some yummy steak sangas for dinner, followed by my very first apple crumble made it the camp oven.
