We headed off from Birdsville at 9:30, along the birdsville track we headed for South Australia border before pulling over for lunch along the way to also collect some wood. As we got the chainsaw ready we realised it needed fuel and went to open the passenger side of the canopy to only realise one of the locks was broken and we couldn't get in. So we had to break the lock which isn't much fun when it's a deadlock. Once we had collected wood and had a very long lunch break we were on our way to cooper creek. When we got here we weren't very impressed, no water in cooper creek what so ever. But we found a spot and set up for a nice relaxing night and enjoyed cooking on a fire for the first time the whole trip. Yummy develled snags! It was delicious. Heading to Marree tomorrow to hopefully book a flight over Lake Eyre and then head out to a homestead for a couple of nights.
