Well, just got back from a long weekend in Utica, Colombia. Colombia celebrated a bank holiday this year on the 12th so it was an ideal opportunity to take a 3hour drive from Bogota to Utica, Lina's childhood home. New Years Day at Parque Nuesa. Lina and I had had enough of Bogota so we decided to head out to Parque Nuesa, about 1 hour drive from Bogota. It wasn't well sign-posted and after seeking directions a couple of times we made it. For the grand entrance fee of 50p we got to go and walk by the lake shores, sit down, rest and breath in the fresh air. Well Christmas was here and gone again for another year. As a predominantly Catholic nation though, Colombia does seem to celebrate Christmas far more than the UK now. Well a few days have passed since the minor gas explosion only to be attempted to be flooded out by a heavy rainfall. I have the top-most apartment and it seems like they did not seal the roof correctly so consequently when I received a call while studying say that the apartments were flooding I didnt believe them until I walked into the bedroom.
