The last day at Mi Ling Primary school started off with a great class of lower primary students that were so cute and repeated everything I said. I decided to be silly and had them shouting out English words and running around the school like clowns. It's strange but the first class seemed to give me energy as they were reacting to everything I said and they were so eager to learn I couldn't help but get a little emotional at what a blessing I had received to be hear in this school at this moment. I gave out prizes and each kid came and gave me a hug at the end of the class and thanked me for visiting their school (in English). The second class of the day unfortunately had one very naughty student who disrupted the rest of the class but we still had a great time laughing and playing games. It's amazing in the whole school I only came across 1 disruptive student, if we were in Australia you would find over half the students disruptive and taking all your time up trying to manage behavior. During break the Highschool students came over to thank me and say goodbye - more gifts and some very touching cards were given. One student even brought me famous Jasmine Green Tea as they had heard I love tea - how amazingly thoughtful - if only more students back home were like this. At the end of the day there was a school assembly where I was once again presented with more gifts - this time a traditional Troku waste coat and hat. I said goodbye to all the students and staff, then headed into the city to Kikoos house where we would be staying for the night. Kikoos son had invited around many friends who wanted to meet me and so another big feast was in store. I cooked an egg ratatouille and made a nice garden salad, others made a spicy pork dish, roast chicken and vegetables, garlic roasted peppers, omelette and a few other dishes and Ofcourse the sweetest and freshest watermelon for dessert. One of the kids who came around had lived in Australia to he was 7 his father being a Doctor there and so wanted to talk to me about home. As a gift his Dad had dug out a 2008 Colombian Red wine (merlot) as he had heard of my upcoming trip to Colombia. The merlot was easily one of the best wines I have ever drank and even though the others were not wine drinkers they managed to drink and really enjoy it as it was so smooth. We all ate and drank way too much and felt terrible afterwards - so I talked everyone into going for a late night stroll around the city before going off to bed.
