Up early and ready for the busy day ahead, heading to the train station at about 7:30am I said goodbye to my host Dylan and then boarded the train. The train ride went very quickly and after 2.5 hours I was back in the city looking for a bus to take me to the airport. I found a bus and arrived at the airport with 3 hours to kill. I parked up at the 7/11 got some lunch and then surfed the net for few hours before heading through security. The flight was very good, smooth and they even gave us good, not that I could eat it but they served up fried rice and tofu with some fruit, cake and biscuits for dessert. We arrived at Shanghai and first impressions wow ginormous city stretching as far as the eye can see. Huge buildings - the second tallest building in the world. I got some money out and then jumped on a train and headed to my host Cheryl's house in Pudong district. Walking the streets I notice a lot of similarities to Taiwan just more people and bigger buildings in China - oh and people are much ruder here and just push you out of the way all the time haha I made it to Cheryl's had a nice chat - she is a very nice person with loads of cool stories and absolutely full of life. We made a vegetarian meal of omelettes and soy bean salad before heading out for a walk around the city. We found a few nice spots to take photos and I did a few handstands. The city was quite dead for a Saturday but Sunday was a working day here because of upcoming public holiday so people were probably in bed. We walked along the river, people watched a little and then headed back with a plan to get up early and have a better look around the area in the early morning.
