Today was an early start as I needed to be off early to get my ferry ticket to Siquijor. The Maid where I was staying was up super early cooking me the most delicious breakfast of stirfry vegetables in soy / fish sauce, sweet potatoes and omelette - with local cocoa drink. I know ridiculous for breakfast but hey when in Rome and I do have some walking ahead of me this morning. I made it to the lite shipping company booking office by 8:30am and am now waiting in the massive line for my ticket!
After getting my ticket I headed into the city to get some groceries for the upcoming camping trip - 5 tins of sardines and some rice crackers should keep me fed! There was absolute madness in the supermarket because of the upcoming holidays. I wondered around a bit more and found a phone shop that attempted to sort my iPhone out and unlock the network - it somewhat worked but in the end the guy told me to come back tomorrow and we will try another way. I walked back to Elaine's where lunch was sitting there waiting for me on the table: lentil and veg soup, sweet potatoes, papaya salad and green veg, ginger and onion stirfry. The maid has once again excelled and I am well fed again - I could get used to this!
After lunch Alex and Lorenzo came and picked me up and we headed to a famous waterfall in the area. There was a small fee to gain access but the waterfall was breathtaking and had a jumping point of about 15 meters that proved to be quite scary to jump from. I will go out on a limb and say this has been the highlight of my trip so far; beautiful scenery, entertaining and quite scary all at the same time. After the waterfall we headed to a beach on the other side of the city to catch the sunset. Later on I headed back to Elaine's where I was treated to another home cooked meal.
