Monte Alban!! Today I woke early and decided I would go and visit the nearby ruins of Monte Alban. It was fairly easy to get out there with just a small price for a drop-off/pick-up service. I arrived at 8:30am just as site was opening and luckily without any huge tour groups I made my way around the ruins without the crowds. Day of the Dead!! Today Jesica and I are off to her parents house in the mountains to celebrate Day of the Dead. Jesica's parents live in San Juan Batista about an hour outside of Oaxaca city and by 10am we had arrived. Her parents are lovely and as expected speak no English so a good chance for me to practice my Spanish.
